Each person need to settle down and as christians that they claim to be need to forgive one another and stop the division. You have our younger generation listening to two mature adult males that are suppose to set example on how to be a leader in their communities. How can either one of you lead, when you don’t know how to follow. Let’s not fight each other let’s work together, take action, not just talk. Show our young people how to forgive, how to work out our differences, and most importantly how to lead.
Wow this was an ugly moment, and I was shocked that Tavis Smiley didn’t go directly to Rev. Sharpton prior to speaking to the media, especially since he claims he has so much love for Rev. Sharpton.
Tavis you are an educated black man who has the media listening and watching everything you say and do. Please understand this is exactly what American’s who insisted my wonderful grandparents go through the back doors of business establishments and drink from a water fountain labeled “colored” love to see–DIVISION. Please know that you are as obligated as President Obama and Rev. Sharpton.
President Obama has, does, and continues to help us with our black issues and ARE WE PAYING ATTENTION IN OUR INVIDIDUAL COMMUNITIES? President Obama is raising his family right before us. He honors his marriage and loves his wife right before us. He gets up everyday and goes to work right before us. Also, he educated himself so that he was a qualified candidate for the job he now holds. I am honored and very proud of President Obama and the “First Lady Michelle.” In April 2009, before my 97 year old grandfather passed away we were able to watch the election and see this wonderful moment. I said dad, “see our dreams as black people did come true.” We have a qualified president who is representing black people and the world very well. Know that this is not just any job he is the leader of our country.
We as black americans need to get our homes in order and fix a few things, but we have known this for many…many years. President Obama is a great leader and we should do everything we can to support him, along with having our opinions accurate before we get on the air and misquote Rev. Sharpton, a man who has been through the fire and continues to stand up and work with people who have been mistreated by educational systems, police departments, and the list is very long. With all due respect Rev. Sharpton is YOUR ELDER and you of all people should know better than to ACT UP IN PUBLIC.
I am for Rev Sharpton 101%, a real person of that charter would have come to the source instead of doing what people have said for many years and that is tear ourselfves up while they watch.
Quote for Dr.Martin.Luther. King
I have a dream that my four children will not be judged by the color of their skin but the content of their charcter.
So, My Brothers together we Stand and Divided we will Fall.
